About the caravan
About the caravan
Brand new in 2004, our caravan is modern, with comfortable furnishings, and a well thought-out layout. It's also fully equipped, including central heating, and double glazing. If you’ve ever been to a holiday park, even to Primrose Valley, then you’ll probably have memories of caravans packed together, with muddy wheel tracks between them. You can forget those memories now, as our caravan is a little bit different. It has plenty of space around it, and its own tarmac drive / parking area, right alongside.
The caravan is divided into 3 distinct areas, for maximum comfort:
1 A central living area (lounge, diner, kitchen) with double french doors. The lounge area is extremely comfortable.
2 Kids / guests bedroom area, with 2 twin rooms, wardrobes, and a bathroom (with shower)
3 En-suite master bedroom, at the other end of the caravan. This has a double bed, a wardrobe, and a dressing area. It also has a dressing table, complete with a fitted hair dryer. We now include a TV in the bedroom, with DVD/CD player, and freeview box. The en-suite bathroom includes a hip bath, with shower over
Angled fireplace in lounge. 2nd TV with DVD/CD player built in, and freeview box.
Extending dining table with seating for 6.
The kitchen includes a full-sized integrated fridge, full-sized integrated freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, full-size oven, hob and hood, and even an ironing board with a steam iron. There's also a vacuum cleaner, should you need it.
Duvets and pillows are provided, for all beds. For 2007 we now provide duvet covers, sheets, and pillow cases as well.
Bed-head reading lights to all bedrooms
Electric sockets in all rooms (except bathrooms).
Lounge bed facility, folding out from the settee, for additional guests, making 8 berths in total. In all fairness, these lounge beds are not ideal for week-long use. This is true of all caravans (although not everyone will tell you this). Put simply, the bed just gets in the way, especially if your guests aren't the last to bed, or the first to get up. These beds are best suited for inviting extra guests to join you for the weekend. All caravans, even big ones like ours, are best when not absolutely full. we'd advise treating an 8 berth caravan as a 6 berth, with the facility for weekend guests.
Constant hot water available
Our caravan has full mains supply, for gas / electricity / water. These are all included in the price you pay. If the weather turns cooler, you will appreciate the double glazing, and central heating, to all rooms. Unlike many caravans, our gas can’t run out, as it’s not coming from a bottle.
The 2 twin rooms have proper beds, but they can be pushed together, if your guests are a couple. Alternatively, if you are bringing a folding cot, one of the beds can be turned upside down, and the cot stands on top of it.
If there are 2 couples, one pair get the en-suite at one end, the other pair can use both twin rooms, one as a double, and the other as a dressing room. Then, in effect, you’ve got 2 very separate en-suite double rooms. Take a look at the layout plan.
If you're bringing children along, they'll love the two twin rooms. New for 2007, one room has cuddly Bradley bears, and the other has Rory Tigers. They'll meet full size versions, in the kids' clubs, and round and about on site.
